I dunno. When I'm flying Y, I like them a lot, especially if you get a seat on the port side, with only two in the row. The wings are far enough back that you've got a bloody good chance at a view, even if the seat selection is limited.
Then again, I really lucked down when I somehow managed to piss off a checkin chick in Oklahoma City last year. My co-writer got a window seat up front, but instead of getting to sit beside her, I got the very last seat at the back. Not quite sitting on the toilet, but pretty close. And a lovely view of the side of a big old jet engine, murmuring softly in my ear.
