Hi There,

I am confused as to why booking a flight to the US using AA is cheaper than using QF even though the service from MEL-LAX is being operated by QF?

Are there any issues with booking international flights with AA.com how does the ticketing work?

Regards,

Cheaper because the fuel fines are less and perhaps better availability on the AA codeshare

You can reserve the flight online and either pay online or hold the reservation and just pay the Australian office during office hours ( which is what I recommend since it will be billed in AUD and avoid any currency conversion fees )

The ticket would be an eticket so nothing for them to post

Would I be correct in assuming that the AA.com ticket would have no GST while the QF issued ticket would include it? I'm not quite sure how GST works on international flight though, but it would be something to consider if it is business related travel.
