Do American Airlines charge credit card fees when making bookings on their site?

I looked at Payment options − Customer service − American Airlines
Says you can use credit cards but doesnt talk about fees.
I also tried a dummy booking and got the checkout page and selected credit card but the price didnt change and there was no additional fees added. I didnt enter an actual card only selected the option.

Also does anyone know if Airline Tickets and Airline Reservations from American Airlines | aa.com the .com.au version of the site while quoting in AUD will actually charge me in AUD? Im assuming its a bait and switch and will be in USD?

Trying to budget and calculate the fees involved.

No CC fees are applied.

The aa.com.au site charges in AUD.

I check both because sometimes (not often) the au site can be cheaper.
