Can someone please confirm that QF F passengers have access to the AA arrivals lounge at T3 LHR. I am only SG. Any thoughts on the lounge - seems like a good idea to have a shower etc before hitting London for the day
Thanks.

Should be able to. My last arrival into LHR was in F (upgraded from J) on QF1. I used the AA arrivals lounge.
Though not completely sure if it was the F boarding pass or the WP QFF status.

Yes, QF F and J Pax have access to the AA arrivals lounge. There is no guest access. Good spot to have a shower.

I guess the only thing to be aware of, is if you also book chauffeur drive. If you dawdle too long in the lounge will the chauffeur give up waiting?

As far as I'm aware, EK manages the chauffeur drive stuff at LHR. There is a chauffeur drive stand just outside the exit from customs. You'd just go there after you're done in the lounge and they'll call the next chauffeur over.

It's more like an office with desks etc ...

It's on the left hand side upon exit.

Don't be fooled into looking for a placard with your name; There isn't any for me (QF F, WP) but the desk would know what to do.

Re lounge, there is no driver standing by just for you. So I'd assume it's safe to linger and you would be allocated a driver.

There is a priority pass accessible arrivals lounge in t2 with showers etc.

Terminal 2

Lounge: PLAZA PREMIUM LOUNGE (ARRIVALS)

Location:*Landside - Level 1, Arrivals Hall.

Opening Hours:*05:00-22:00 daily.

Only things is that they have a 90 window from landing to be in the car. Not written anywhere and not advised even when you advise/ask at the desk. Given the additional time to get to the gate., have the doors open, the long walk, then through immigration and baggage collection, it would be much less than an hour.

Almost got caught out in January this year and got a call stating that we only had 15 minutes left and my wife was still drying her hair. While the caller was very polite it would be useful to have this (a) advertised and (b) able to be varied. Suggested this to QANTAS formally but still no reply, even when chased up.

Sounds like another enhancement. A couple of years ago, I had no problem going to the desk and booking a car for a set time (giving me time in the AA Lounge). The driver even came upstairs to the lounge to get me. It was probably 2.5-3 hours after arrival (I had a run around with baggage, but that's another story).

Actually when I used CD in March I did have a specific driver and it was his final job for the day having driven people to LHR for early morning departures.

I have used the BA Arrivals Lounge in Terminal 5 when flying Qantas in First. Its a fantastic Lounge, you can have a treatment in the Elmis Spa as well which is a much better way to get the day started than just a shower ;)
(this was a year ago so things may have changed)

Hi all,
Am flying J on QF9, scheduled for a 13:50 arrival into LHR, does anyone have any experience using the AA Arrivals Lounge in T3 after this flight?
Opening times stated as 6am to 2pm....could be a bit of a rush; but a shower would be lovely :)

Did it last month after coming on QF9 in F. It was empty and from memory we got there about 30 mins from closing. This was after waiting for bags (not mine!) which took probably 30 mins - Fast track immigration had no wait. I think it closed at 3pm? Had enough time for a shower and a drink.

Thanks Kangol, really appreciate it!

Are you allowed in on a J seat?

I thought it was F only?

Trying to research this and it appear to have disappeared from Qantas.com

Is access to the AA arrivals lounge allowed, or denied? Seems to have see-sawed between the two over recent times, the current write-up on Qantas isn't promising.

London Heathrow Airport Guide is currently showing:
London (Heathrow) Arrival Lounge - Associated Lounge (American Airlines)

Arrivals level 2
Hours: 05:30 to 14:00 Daily

Qantas First and Business customers travelling on Qantas are eligible to use the American Airlines arrivals lounge when arriving into Terminal 3.
