I flew in Nancy just the week before the engine failure. You just never know. Taken on my phone as we boarded in Tullamarine on 26 October 2010.

Markis- OJH is still around, as is QPA.

For those saying they won't fly Nancy, how are you going to know until you actually get to the gate?
Having flown on QPA in Feb 09 some 3-4 months after QF72, I can say that ignorance was bliss, as she was no different to any of the other 333's.

As far as I know, H is still around (though I'll admit I don't keep track of the 747 fleet any more).

K was as good as new when repaired. There were no patches, doublers, and anything else. All back to the maker's junctions, and basically as it came off the line when the repair was finished. I understand it was retired simply because it was a approaching a very expensive service (and the dates for most of them have been based upon that).

My apologies, for some reason I thought the BKK aircraft had followed in the footsteps of the ugly sisters and OJK!

I bet there will be a few plane spotters at MEL to welcome her.
Cheers
N'oz

I'll take one for the team and drive out to watch her arrival. If anybody finds out when she is due to land into MEL, let me know ? :)

Yep, it's a typo - maybe I was subconsciously railing against the SYDcentric view that Qantas have these days.

In any case I have seen notes that the positioning flight will carry Exec. & CEO as well as most of the crew "who were on it".

who is picking up the parking tab, you would think she has earned a reserved spot at least!

In some general office chit chat I've heard that the parking bill was estimated to be over $13 million

Lucky it wasn't BNE or it would have been double that ;)
