ISTR that in the early days of its life, the a380 has a problem or two with its nose wheel. Maybe they haven't gone away.

QF9 this morning lost steering in its nose wheel shortly after leaving the runway at LHR and had to be towed in.

It was fortunately reasonably out of the way. As the guy next to me commented, it was good that it didn't happen a couple of minutes earlier or when it hit the ground.
