A380 flight cam and mainstairs not available to business class pax

Then us Aussies must be a pretty slow lot.

Other airlines manage to have ropes separating cabins with seemingly little personal injury.

It sounds to me like QF just didn't want to do that, and are happy for business class to use the F WCs.

How about an announcement (played in the business class cabin only) that passengers must not go down the stairs? Plenty of airlines do that as well.

So I know that I'm going to play the heretic on this discussion board, but I disagree: perhaps QF as an organisation is only reflecting what DFAT terms our "broadly egalitarian society" on its website description About Australia. Or better described by Tim Winton on the cover notes to Midnight Oil's 20,000Watt R.S.L. "Kiss no bum, tug no forelock".

It's a toilet. People seeking to claim a form of ownership of a toilet seem a little too precious to me. First world problems and all that...

Be of no doubt that I fully understand all of the arguments why that toilet should be the exclusive domain of the F pax; but perhaps that is the secret lure of egalitarianism: you can have more money than me, but you still wait in the same line for the same toilet.

And I like that. Kudos QF.

I was referring to why it would be a hazard at the top of the stairs, responding to a post indicating that's where it should be.

I think a theatre style rope was looked at but there was the risk that during turbulence someone could grab onto it and possibly fall down the stairs. As for at the bottom of the stairs, well people would just move it anyway

Not everyone travelling in F has more than people in J. Tbh, when I'm bumming a seat on an AA redemption in F on a QF a380 I'm pretty sure there's a decent % of people on fully paid J tickets who have more than me ;)
