Qantas First Class menus

Oh wow- Bollinger Grande Annee! That’s my absolute favourite Millesime. Impressed to see it on Qantas though I know quite a few people who don’t like it. It’s admittedly quite a refined taste and not really something for Champagne beginners.
Ahh yes, impressive to see it on the list … that did not translate to being served on board. We were served the Bollinger PN AYC18.

QF64 - JNB-SYD - JUN 2025

At checkin (which opened at 2:30pm) was invited to the BA lounge and on entry the BA agent indicated we were welcome to enjoy First Dining until 4:30pm due to BA customers. N.B. the first BA flight was scheduled for 7:30pm. In any event we rocked up at 4:30 and promised to leave within an hour and it was no problem.

I know it’s technically OT but it was part of the QF F product at JNB so here it is:

I saw the fish dish and it looked really good, much more “First” than the curry that I chose. Curry and lamb tasted quite good. Champagne was Moët.

Happy to report it was served generously on the return QF64 🥂

QF 1 Syd-Sin Sunday 8th June, Tooth Fish & affogato were delicious. The choose of wine is average.

Flew QF81 (SYD-SIN departs 1020) yesterday. Menu is identical to the QF1 menu posted just above, including the reference to ‘Dinner’ on the top of the menu.

Somewhat disappointing for flights departing 4.5hrs apart (QF1 scheduled 1450 departure).

Was the main meal served quickly or were they at least delaying until a normal Aus lunchtime?

10:20am departure, can’t see QF serving a meal within two hours so would have been perfect lunch timing. 🤣

It was leisurely. I think I got the starter a little before 12 and the main around 1 (it was two episodes of Tulsa King before the starter then one before the main)
