55 SP Short ex SIN

I've just worked out that my flights next week on AY won't earn me any QF status points as they took Z booking class out from Discount Economy earning at the end of Jan 2026. They were cheap but I thought I'd get something...any way I'm now going to be 55 status points short to keep platinum (year ends 31 May).

Any advice ex-SIN for a status run? I've looked at JQ to Bali but it is absolutely insane prices (700 SGD return) in the weeks up to 31 May. I can only fly weekends which is also a bummer.

I'm based in Singapore. The flights next week are SIN to HEL then onto OSL return. Not a member of PC.

Were the flights eligible when you booked them, or had you missed the change? Just wondering if arguing with Qantas is an option.

I booked in February but was looking at booking in December when I checked the earning tables. Not sure they'll waive that if I booked in Feb.

Does anyone know how that would work with DSC runs? Would you get the 75% refund and then double the original J status credits?

Yes. We received DSCs at PE rates after a downgrade from PE to whY.

That's a bummer. Short hop somewhere on BA while you're in Europe?

I was planning a night in London but the only day I can do the fares on BA were 8000 NOK! Everything is so crazy. I just had a thought I wonder if I can pay some more to Finnair that they change the ticket to A class rather than Z class.

Anything on MH? Could probably even do a two sector and come back cheaply on Scoot or vie versa.
