22 hours in DOH

Does the booking have to be ticketed by QR or would a ticket plated on another airline but with QR segments to/from Qatar suffice?
Just has to be a QR ticket number 157 xx_xx_xx I believe but you might need to check
Booking process requires a ticket number - I entered an AS 027- ticket with QR flying one way out of DOH.

Note that PNR is mentioned in the terms:
It turns out the one way booking was not eligible. However, I provided a PNR having a DOH transit of 6 days (QR in and QR) out and that sufficed; although I only booked for three nights. Not bad for $160 all up. The ticket was plated on Qantas (081- ...).

This was fortunate as the week in question coincided with a 2025 FIFA Arab Cup - Wikipedia. Normal accommodation costs were very inflated (e.g. IBIS $240).

The prices seem pretty good. I got 2 nights at Central Inn Souq Wakif (4*) in October for just under A$80.

Have you done your trip already? Was this hotel nice?

We were there a few weeks ago. Hotel is reasonable, rooms are good the rest of it was ok. It was quiet - bit of work going on outside but didn't bother us For the price can't complain. About a 10 minute walkto the souq.
It isn't luxury, I think it struggles to get 40 star, but it's comfy and for a night or two at that price- can't complain to much.

Thanks for sharing, I was eyeing it off as an option for a Qatar stopover. I wanted something near the souq and the airport, and the building looks a bit more interesting than other generic hotels.

The inside does resemble an oversized ryad to a degree. It was the facilities (eateries/ pool etc) and staff knowledge of things in the hotel that was a bit underwhelming.

There is a place right on the souq that was available on the QR stopover site. It is dry, but I think it might be a bit nicer. Photos and the outside of hotels can be deceiving of course.
