From Feb 09 onwards travel so i guess they see soft demand, i am located in Melbourne so it appears the email link is semi targeted.

What great value from QF, there are plenty of seats discounted. Just booked two seats to Los Angeles for a total of $3058.00 for two of us.... Now thinking of booking to Frankfurt....

Interesting you mention Singapore because the email I received specifically mentions 2 for 1 specials from Singapore. I guess availability may play a part in whether the deal is actually available.

I looked ex SIN and saw nothing but please if anybody has a link then i would be very interested ! and so would a few Aussie freinds who have travel next year in those times.

What do you mean you see nothing? I just looked at SIN-MEL return for 2 people and it priced out to S$1508, total for 2 passengers, leaving SIN Mon 16 March 2009 and returning from MEL Mon 30 March 2009.

The link in the email looks like a standard link to the Qantas flight booking page. If you think this makes the difference then I can post the email link. And by the way I did the try the above dates without the email link and it priced out exactly the same. So I think there is an availability issue rather than the 2 for 1 specials not being available from SIN.

I see now. I checked early this morning not long after the email went out... i was actually awake here when the email hit my inbox so maybe the fares had not been loaded or something like that because i used the same dates.
Got a couple of weddings to attend begining of the year so works out well.

John, thanks, they just does not seems to have the sale price for specific flights we've chosen.It is hard to catch the deal when I have other flights from Middle East to try to squeze in, it is cheaper to fly direct to Melbourne than go via Spore.
