Guess you could read it either way. :p After all, I'm sure Mrs LW would not be happy to greet her hubby smelling like cheap beer. :D

You're right there anat0l - she doesn't ;)

He is at a cricket test - there is no cheap beer...
$5 per beer at the QCC (we were drinking xx_X Gold) - not a bad price for any cricket ground

Hope he didn't get wet. Yes, that wasn't the best day I've witnessed.

He did, but not badly enough to detour via the city and get me to drive him or grab a taxi or train. :)

Hope it's a better day today, if it isn't rained out!

How to predict rain in Brisbane, check the cricket schedules at the Gabba, its a wet morning in Kangaroo Point as I sit on my balcony, coffee in hand, gazing at the Gabba :(

Australia haven't lost at the GABBA since.... ??? (LW?) So maybe call it a draw. But at day one thats a bit early... Especially if uncle meteorologist has any influence

Will have to look that up - it's generally a pitch that gets a result.

Yes we only drink mid-strength.

On the bus from the Transit Centre. Bit hopeful that play might happen this afternoon - the weather radar doesn't look good currently, so very much doubt play will begin in the first hour.

Have a decent lunch to eat - my guess is beef carpachio for entree, fish for main and double Choc slice with strawberries for dessert.

Weather has closed in, so we were finding things to do. My father (LHS) and uncle (RHS) know lots of the old brigade so caught up with former Test Umpires Len King and Dick French (middle L and middle R). They are here for an Umpires reunion. Missed meeting Simon Taufel, he was here yesterday but flying back to Dubai today for an ICC meeting. Mel Johnson is also here (an old school master of mine), might get to see him this afternoon.
