OK, to get this clear, the current SC total is 690 with 5 months to earn another 10.

How much more flying is planned?

If those 10 SC were earned this month, that would give 17 months at least of Gold status.

Yes, that is correct, and 17 mo of gold would be very nice for a young un who will rarely clutter up the lounge but does long 1 day trips for the good of the community. (Only having the one kid means I like to help).

At the moment there is nothing planned for a work trip. But, I did just see that a flt in Sept she did SYD-Coffs-SYD only registered for the return. I shot off an request to claim that which would be a neat 10 SC. Otherwise, we just wait for the next flt, whenever that is.

Neat solution and hopefully, resolution.

It's not many here who would let the SC's / points from a flight go missing.

I was in almost exact same position last month - 5 SC short of retaining gold, with loyalty bonus already credited. I fly domestic and intl fairly regularly for work but mostIy cheap fares so usually average 600-800 SCs per year. The last year was a little light on travel hence the problem. A couple of months ago, I was offered Gold renewal for 80,000 points but dismissed that immediately. This is the new Qantas system - they won't be offering gratis one-off status renewal/attainments. You have to pay one way or another - points or flights. I made several calls and tried to play the loyal customer gold status for 15 years etc cards. No budging. 80,000 points or off to Silver land. I ended up on a status run - MEL-ADL-MEL paid one way, award flight the other. Total cost about $200 (including airport parking!) and 8000 points to earn 10 SC. Hopefully don't have to do that again, but if you value the status there's not really any alternative now. Good luck with the overdue/missing credits.

Been there and done that!
Did an ADL to Port Lincoln return and sorted it. Plus caught up with friends while there.
It was 10 SC's over and 10 back, and did it 2 days before the anniversary date!
