According to a Qantas Red Email I received yesterday:

Qantas said:
Save an extra 10% on all full priced fares* if you book your return flights to the Gold Coast by 11.59pm (AEST) 7 August. Use promo code TAKEOFF10 at the checkout and take off on your next trip for less. T&C’s Apply.

I would book if we had more certainty of flights, and not having to do domestic (home) quarantine/freer travel.
Not sure/don't know why QF is doing this, when they should know that at the moment, Aust states are making domestic travel much harder, more onerous due to Covid.
I am not into those, book, cancel, funds go to the "bank"/credit shell, and then rebook, cancel and rebook...

Yes it seems odd with Gold Coast now in lockdown. I suppose QF wants to stimulate bookings for the medium term so that it has some cash flow now. I don;t often feel sympathy for QF, but I do right now. That said, I'm not in any hurry to book either given the level of uncertainty and the return of 2020 style border slam downs.

Rather than a flight to QLD, I would pay for a 787 flight out of ADL to no where, as they did a while back from SYD out to above Uluru, and the Qld outback.
I am getting my "kicks" watching youtube videos done by others at the moment.
Have also got some stills I took flying back to ADL over the past few years on my phone.
Dream on, I guess, for the time being, till we can fly "free(ly)" without restrictions again.

Wonder if this will also work on the half price fares?

Next stop: HBA
