Some of these KUP/YUP runs can only be booked on Sabre as AA website gives a limited amount of connecting airports.

I did hnl-dfw-stl-ord-jfk-mia-bgi-mia-msy-ord-las-lax recently. cost about 1800 bucks. earns 1000 SC on the dot.

dazz81 - I can see how you get the SCs as YUPP fares ( although I can't get that many legs on the AA site) but even if I could I can't get anywhere near that price! - is this also a result of using Sabre?

There has been a bit of an enhancement of the YUP/KUP fares. They have been refiled and now have a max of transits. The fares that are now loaded that have more transits allowed are a bit more expensive.

ozmile - thanks. so maybe its worth buying access to Sabre to extract the maximum benefit? - I will travel to the USA 6 times this year and have done a couple of these YUP fares although as a -Y traveller in a small company $ are important as is setting the right example. If I pay around 2k return to LAX then the rest of my trip - normally covering either DFW or NYC or both needs to in proportion. A simple uncomplicated example for travel in August LAX/DFW/LGA as a YUP $1400 each way which may not sound a lot but when the $300 fare is sitting there its a little uncomfortable. Maybe I need to look at more of a HNL/PAP type route.....
