nlagelle, I lodged my complaint with FOS back on 5 March. It took them 2 weeks to allocate a case number (by email). On 15 April I received a letter from FOS stating that a case officer had been assigned. AMEX has been given until 15 May to respond to my complaint.

I will report back here if & when my remaining points are allocated!

You lodged a few days before me. My FOS case number arrived via email on 17th March. So hopefully I am not far behind you in having a case officer assigned an Amex issued a deadline (which they will likely ignore anyway).

Success for me too! Very happy to report that my remaining points have been posted. :D NM, I hope your remaining points aren't too far away.

well done Iza :)

What were your circumstances ?

Thanks Holo. In summary:

subscribed to all 3 promos online;
was not postcarded / targetted;
placed on 5K / 10T;
suspended;
argued case with Executive Services who investigated;
points credited under 5K / 10T;
raised dispute with FOS;
VICTORY!

:):):)

well done mate :D

you got points for all 3, 5/5000 or 5/10 ?

I wish! Sorry, should have said that I received points under 5T / 5K. This was the basis of my complaint with FOS. AMEX Executive Services stated they would pay under that enrolment, subsequently paid under 10T / 5K. I then argued thru FOS for the balance paid under 5T / 5K.

yippee !

Got my letter Friday. Got placed back on 5/5000. So approx 1million points gained all up.

My situ:

Joined 17 or 18 Sept, got pocced, lost some points, got put on 10/5000.
Challenged, got denied my challenge, went to FOS, Amex asked for copy of complaint, provided same, got remaining points sent through :)

Luvverly Jubblery.......

Keep fighting all, don't give in.

Me too... got all remaining points now :)
Good luck for those r still waiting. I'm sure you will get it too. Thanks Amex

Well, Amex finally sent us a letter advising that they would credit us with the points from this promotion at the 5/5 rate.

Many thanks to you all, and especially to FOS, who have obviously done a brilliant job of keeping these guys honest.

Quick summary of my situation.
Enrolled online (not targeted)
Was credited early on, but then nothing.
Was booted out of program quite late on
Complained to Amex, but no response
Complained to FOS, and finally have letter from Amex giving us our points.

Ours is a very small claim compared to some other members here, but it is a nice bonus considering what we have been through lately.

Cheers!

Is there anyone else still waiting for their points?

I love how there are over 335,863 views on this thread!

Yes, I'm still waiting for the balance of my points. Called FOS today and they said they had a large number of cases to deal with so its taking longer than expected butI should get a response soon.

I'm sure you will get a good response! FOS must hate AMEX over this bingle :)

If the FOS scheme is anything like other industry regulation schemes, Amex are due for a huge bill from the FOS for this. Often a membership fee is charged based on the previous year's incidents, or a cost per incident is charged back to the organisation involved.

These types of industry ombudsmen are often self funded by members...

Not that we will ever know, but it would be interesting see how much this has *cost* AMEX in points, so called special teams to deal with this and any fines imposed by FOS as well as the service fees you mention Mal. :mrgreen:

I have about 40% of what I am owed. Still waiting in the rest. Sent a fax mid-May to FOS to follow-up.
