Re: Congratulations Simongr on 1,000 posts

Umm - thanks - always a bit of a forum cough :D

Thanks muchly for the knowledge imparted - and a big thanks when our RTW in J award flights happen :D :D

One tip I have learned though is that I need to stop imparting my knowledge a little bit - there are some gaps that could lead people astray (or maybe lead people to the stickies where they can get the right info ;))

Cheers

I think all of us fall into this trap every now and again (or even more often depending on who they are ;) )

This Forum like every other is opinions mainly, backed up with facts at various times. Nothing should ever be taken as gospel - unless the person reading it has double checked the information against another source.

Even the experts here make mistakes at times with the information they give in posts...

Once again, congrats :)

Gdonya Simon,

It's amazing the travel knowledge imparted on this site; I remember one poster implying her TA cracked it when proved incorrect when faced with the experience of AFF members.

Your initial general theme of posting requests for information has evolved to one that imparts the knowledge and contemporary experiences of your travel.

That's what I myself continue to strive for.

I sincerely hope you continue with many more along the same themes.

Yes, indeed. Congratulations Simongr on reaching this milestone.

Always good to see your contributions to the forum!

Congratulations Dave Noble on 2,000 posts

I notice one of our illustrious moderators has reached 2000 posts. Congratulations, Dave Noble.

I have personally learnt a lot from Dave's posts and I commend him for keeping up a consistently high standard in the information contained within each post. I would say it's quality over quantity, but the quantity is pretty high too!

To single out one contribution, the sticky in the AA forum is a goldmine of valuable information.

Thanks also, Dave, for donating your time as moderator. Not a job I would relish, but one which you perform very well.

Congratulations Dave Noble and thanks for all your many, many, many valuable contributions.

Re: Congratulations Dave Noble on 2,000 posts

Congratulations Dave. Your input has been invaluable to many on this forum and FT. I have gained a lot from Dave's tips and passed them on to family and friends, who think I'm some king of guru when it comes to maximising value from frequent flyer programmes. I do give credit where it's due, and tell them about Monsieur Noble.

Re: Congratulations Dave Noble on 2,000 posts

Congrats, Dave! I have learned heaps from you, especially about the AA platinum challenge. Thanks for being so generous with your time to help others!

Been meaning to ad my congrats as well; just booked an AA YUP using information supplied by the member oft referred to by a
starsmilie.gif
or two; these were nominated by Lindsay Wilson and well earned IMO. :D

Congratulation serfty on 3,000 posts

Congratulations on another milestone. I value your contributions to the board.

Why thanky ... thanky ... thanky ...

It a multi-way thing; I knew a lot when I came across AFF and have learned much more here since. I am happy to pass over knowledge in return. ;)

Here's an example: I am posting this from the MEL F lounge sipping a Glass of Moet before I take my $602 StarClass flight to BKK (the return is even cheaper @$583). I found the info & link for this fare on AFF. :D

Also, without information gained here I would not be QF WP! :D :D
