The refurbished 200 and 300 series have the angled flat regional product in a 2-2-2 configuration. The 200ERs are being refurbished with the (now superseded) long haul product in a 1-2-1 configuration. Go for 1-2-1 if you can.
The current 'frenzy' sales have David Jones offerring 20% off some items, including Crumpler bags. Crumpler is not often on sale, and I picked up a Dry Red 3 roll-on for $200 delivered.
Westfield is also offerring 20% off Tumi products.
On an AUH-ATH leg, I was welcomed as a 'valued Etihad Guest Gold member', I clarified that I was Velocity Platinum. I was offerred first choice of meal before take off. No issues with lounge access.
For QF to put its code on an EK flight to a particular country, Australia would need to have a bilateral air services agreement or similar arrangement in place with that country. Australia does not currently have agreements in place with all EK destinations. See Australia's Air Services...
