    Propeller falls off Rex plane

Really? Clearly no point in having an opinion.

It's quieter in front. Not sure if there if there is a difference between abeam or behind.

QFF number displaying on Google search

There's obviously some big data sitting behind this feature. I would add that flight delays and gate changes often get pushed through quicker than the Qantas app.

Toyko tips! Good accom near Tokyo Big Sight

There are 3 hotels in that small area. The Park, the Royal Park and the Conrad. We've stayed at the latter 2 and they are both very good for the price points. Would go back to both. Haven't stayed at the Park though we might have a look at the rates next time we visit. Yurakucho is another good...

    Not wearing seat-belt in-flight

If you are silly enough to ignore the seatbelt light you might also be thinking that travel insurance isn't needed either. Stupid is...

Amex fraud department [Can't redeem flights]

My SO who never remembers her pin always gets her purchases approved. I get a simultaneous email saying if it is not legit to contact them immediately. Clearly their fraud protection systems are fairly sophisticated

There is a find my device feature with Google for Android devices. It pinpoints my devices to the street address and you can ring, lock or erase the device.

    What Tablet to buy?

My SO has the Samsung and is very happy with it. She did have some trouble with the fingerprint reader but the phone support was very good and resolved the issue. The different screen format seems to be excellent for online shopping :)

QF Club/Biz Lounge access when flying JQ from SYD T2

If you are coming from t3 the security at the western end of the terminal is handy. For breakfast T2 has some good options though. I like Movida at the airport when I'm travelling with Virgin.

House Break-in following theft of bags from carouse at MEL

This is a shark attack event. Good headlines but insignificant risk. Unless the thief was really after well used undies or cheap souvenirs I can't see checked baggage being a fertile paddock for crime.

    Bombardier dash 8

It's still a gas turbine turning the propellers and uses jet fuel so not a huge difference there. Pluses for the dash 8s are they fly lower so the view is generally better. Quick to get on and off. Legroom is ok and no trouble with seat recliners. Service is quick. Downsides are they can be a...

Melbourne to Narita return seats and other questions

Have a good trip. Japan is a country I'm happy to go back to again and again. Tokyo is amazing and pretty much anywhere you'll go there'll be friendly people and great things to experience. Don't forget your hat and sunscreen for June.

Melbourne to Narita return seats and other questions

The Conrad in Tokyo is a great hotel. Another option we've also stayed at is the Royal Park Shiodome. It's a bit cheaper and they have great showers in the better rooms. It's a bit closer to Shimbashi but doesn't have as good a view of the park and the rainbow bridge. Another advantage of that...

Melbourne to Narita return seats and other questions

June in Tokyo is hot and humid during the days. We were there last year for the rugby and come 2 pm most days we were looking for somewhere with air conditioning. There are some great cheap little izakaya and yakitori places at Yurakucho under the train line. Another place worth a try is under...

Melbourne to Narita return seats and other questions

Another option for coming back is to spend the previous night at one of the Narita hotels. Check out and leave your bags at the hotel in the morning. Visit Narita during the day. The temple, garden and Omotesando are well worth a visit. Then go back to the hotel, pick-up your bags and go to the...
