Tips to make it through Y long haul?

That's it. From someone who travels down the back all the time - SYD-JFK every couple of months - this is the beginning and end of the answer. Re all the other advice, the only bit I disagree with is the aisle seat. I have a strong bladder but I'm a light sleeper. Being clambered over by...

    QFF Ideas & Suggestions

Ouch, OK, I stand chastised. I thought the FF program was to ID and reward the loyalty of those who put their BIS most often. I'll pull my head in.

    QFF Ideas & Suggestions

I've just gone from Bronze to Silver and now to Gold in six months, and, so far, have nothing to show for it except different coloured plastic in my wallet. I fly for business quite a lot, but it's my own business and in a big growth phase, which constrains my ability to buy anything other than...

    Apples here there and everywhere

Office for Mac 2011 is a quantum leap from 2008, if anyone's wondering whether to upgrade. Heaps faster and no time spent watching the beach ball at all. :D My advice is to upgrade right away.

Paying for an exit row seat

Amen to that. There should be a message in the safety routine "please check with the pax behind you before reclining your seat".

Paying for an exit row seat

I'm a QF Silver FF and pay my own way. Exit row is great value when it's your own money. Toilet proximity is more of an issue on the A380, where the one toilet door opens in a way that's almost designed to bathe you in light during the night. Not so much an issue on the A330. Exit rows aren't...

Dumb newbie question: where shd I make bookings?

Thanks. I can see these for domestic travel, but I don't get the same options when booking international. When booking SYD-LAX-JFK, for example, there is no PE option.

Dumb newbie question: where shd I make bookings?

Hi everyone, here's another dumb newbie question: where should I be making my QF bookings? I have always used the QF site, but that doesn't seem to feature the upgradeable fares - only the Sale fares, which don't qualify. Nor do I see PE fares when booking for the US. I'm a recent Silver FF...

Help to maximise SCs on SYD-LAX-JFK run

Thanks. This is what I was hoping for. One supplementary question: I can simply route via various US airports and not actually stop over, correct? Thanks again. This community is great! :)

Help to maximise SCs on SYD-LAX-JFK run

Hi I have to do the SYD-LAX-JFK run every couple of months. I have been travelling QF11/107/108/12, stopping over in LA in both directions. Looking at some of the posts here (although they're a bit old), it appears I could get more SCs for this run if I route it differently and I was wondering...

Help needed to get 350 0r 700 QANTAS status credits.

Thanks. As a fellow newbie, I found this post useful. Is this basic info kept somewhere? Like the OP, I've been trawling lots of older posts and wondering if the info is still accurate. Cheers

Newbie seeking advice on maximising SC per $ on SYD-MOW-LED & SYD-LAX-JFK flights

Hi everyone. This is my first post. Very interesting forum. I'm a newbie, currently QF FF Bronze, who has recently started to fly a lot. I have done 2 x SYD-LAX-JFK-LAX-SYD in Economy since April. As it's my own business and we're still in high growth phase, I need to conserve cash and max...
