Not sure what you're looking at QF.com but if you ask for Sydney to Rome it shows as first preference SYD-LON-ROM. What do timings have to do with it? QF.com wouldn't show an "entirely different story" as it uses Amadeus with the "e-travel Management" front end platform - so what the agents see...

If anyone wants to use the "points+pay" as maybe a type of replacement to the MASA (obviously heaps and heaps more points) it works out to approx $1 = 123 points. That's how I calculated it... Maybe people can use this if there is a cheap sale fare ?
