    Qantas Auckland Lounge Upgrade

I was in there last weekend and I think it depends on which way you are facing. I was seated facing ice cream bar (facing away from the buffet) so I really couldn't see anyone looking in so it didn't feel weird to me. If I was on the other side I think it would have been a bit different.

Qantas to Introduce Group Boarding and Bag Tracking

Last time I was in the US one of the flights I took the gate agent actually asked my why I waited to board with a later group considering I was in group 2 in a generally curious way. I just had a back pack so I wasn't worried about bin space so I was happy to just walk around for a bit longer

Old Q Tags available at lounges

That's why I mentioned the length of the line, quick gut feel as to which will be quicker if you have the choice (someone with multiple bags and one staff vs a line of individuals one bag each with multiple staff).

Old Q Tags available at lounges

Alternatively I would just use my status and go to the business class check in (depending on the length of the line) since I'm not being paid to attach the paper tag

Earn up to 110 Qantas Status Credits on the ground

A creative/dodgy way to slightly bump it up. Go to your Red Energy MyAccount and there should be an option to submit a self read just enter a gas read a little bit higher than what it is now. I believe that should trigger the billing system to generate a new bill I'm just not exactly sure if it...

    Qantas domestic economy meals

I'm glad I'm not the only one who loves the salted rice crackers with cheese. I got them yesterday on the flight over but not on the way back

    Qantas Points Club Discussion

I recall reading somewhere that they will backdated to when the points are earned

Earn up to 110 Qantas Status Credits on the ground

Without looking at the T&C for Red Points but a creative way to bump up the bill is to get a service order raised. Basically it is a request to have something done to your meter. Depending on how desperately you need the SC and to get close to the the $250 you would be looking at something like...

    Qantas Green frequent flyer tier

Another consideration about "needing it" is if you are still chasing LTG or in my case LTS else its kind of pointless. Otherwise the only benefit is for those who still need it and the more people who still achieve it the longer it will potentially stay (and this is completely in myself interest)

What makes a good airport and what's your favourite?

100% agree with this which is why domestically I like Brisbane and Sydney and Melbourne really needs to get a train. Considering I'm going to be sitting for awhile I like airports where there are different areas I can walk around without having to leave the terminal from where I'm departing or...

Article: Is Qantas or Velocity Status Harder to Earn?

Thanks for that, I've been trying to find something since my 12ft ladder broke.

Red Energy is owned by Snowy Hydro and they way the Network is set up they can't feasible offer power to anyone who isn't on the East Coast and SA (also excludes Northern Queensland)

5 million QFF points being split for purchasing gift cards through QF Marketplace (16-26 October 2025)

I wouldn't think so normally but they only need to sell a minimum of 200,000. Considering the headline offer will get a percentage of people to bite and the SC for spending on market place I wouldn't be surprised if they sell a lot more

Earn up to 110 Qantas Status Credits on the ground

I got that one as well and I'm in the same category as Mrs Excel - I haven't earned points from BP so potentially just dormant BP accounts

How to Use Up Qantas Points? Obviously not on flights

I 100% agree that they have a value and they are an asset its more how you value it and view it as either an appreciating or depreciating asset.. Your example makes perfect sense for me it's more a gut feel does spending X amount of points seem reasonable. which I can't really define That's one...

How to Use Up Qantas Points? Obviously not on flights

@drron just pointed out the key point and that is they are hard to find in a premium cabins. I just plucked a random week in Nov obviously economy tickets. I really think it boils down a couple of things 1. How do you personally value the points (personally for me it is sunk cost and they don't...

Trying to understand these travellers' unfortunate ticketing/insurance problem

I've seen a few on here before and it makes sense to have used a TA But the key part is missing in the story and I don't think we will ever know and that is why they ended up in Paris in the first place
