    I was looking for the same information as I'm leaving on MH 142 to KL on the 23rd so called the MAS office here in Sydney and they informed me that check in opens 3hrs before flight! Does anyone know if immigration and security are open at 04:25 in Sydney?

    Was wierd as today I went to pay for IST - SYD leg on Malaysia Business class AA Award ticket. Originally told it would be $395, but today charge was only $40! Don't know why but I wasn't going to argue!

    Have recently booked 2 one way award tickets using AA miles on Malaysia Airlines, SYD - CDG $73 in taxes, then CDG - SYD $389 in taxes. What is the reason for huge difference in tax, AA agent not able to tell me?
