Malaysia Airlines check in at SYD - how long before flight?

I'm flying for the first time on Malaysia Airlines to Japan tomorrow afternoon from Sydney, departing at 1.50pm.

How long before the flight will the Malaysia Airlines check in counters be open?

As a Qantas Platinum frequent flyer I wish to take advantage of the Qantas First Class lounge for as long as I can.

I will have checked luggage as well as carry on.

Can't seem to find the answer anywhere, hence this thread.

I was looking for the same information as I'm leaving on MH 142 to KL on the 23rd so called the MAS office here in Sydney and they informed me that check in opens 3hrs before flight! Does anyone know if immigration and security are open at 04:25 in Sydney?
