Check your IHG account to see if it now says Platinum? After this amount of time, if it hasn't been actioned then you will need to follow up again with Velocity.

Husband and I are Velocity platinum and when we book a J class fare with Singapore Airlines last year, we credited the flights to KrisFlyer to retain Gold status, but flashed our Velocity cards at reception to bring our guests in. They had no issue with that and we still got our Krisflyer benefits.
