Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

The Heirloom EOFY box has been out for a few days now, but I don’t think it's been posted yet.
I have been buying one for 3 years in a row, as you always get a great selection of their Shiraz, Cab Sav and Touriga.
It's actually red & whites by default, but if you contact them they have historically made it just reds upon request.

15% off at your wines with code EOFY15OFFYW. Some okay bits and bobs in there. Kalleske Greenock shiraz 2023 comes out at $36 a bottle in a 6. Sons of Eden Zephyrus 22 for $31 in a 6.

Have you tried the 2019 of this? Winestar have it for a slightly higher price @ $13 but a decent review from Campbell Matinson makes it seem like it's still very good value.

Now dropped to $10 for a sale (wine is An Approach To Relaxation 'Sucette' Grenache 2019). The price for this & 2022 has bounced between $10 and $13 historically.

I thought this was just okay, pretty good drinking for $10 but I think for my palate I would've liked it a bit younger and fresher.

tossing between Grant Burge The Holy Trinity GSM 2022 vs Petaluma Evans Vineyard Coonawarra Cabernet Merlot 2021, via cellar one. anyone can recommend?

I agree, really enjoyed the 2022 (esp. for the price) and so ordered the 2019. I don't think 2019 was a bad year for Barossa, however the wine is missing it's fruit and freshness that I really enjoyed from the 2022. Not bad but just getting beyond drinking window for my tastes.

If you look accross a lot of reviews (and from my own tastings) 2019 was a rough year for Barossa. They had some major weather issues (frosts, hailstorms and heatwaves).

You will see a lot of 2019 on sale. I tend to avoid it after too many disappointments.

Yeah, the lake of unwanted 2017 reds is getting low now and they are moving on to 2019/2020.
But there were plenty of good SA reds from 2019 if you were/are careful, I've picked up more of Sorby Adams The Thing 2019 (still current release) during EOFY sales at TWC and have a decent number of 2019 Barossa and McLaren Vale Shiraz in the cellar.
