It was a beautiful service.

I am beside myself here at work. Half the office is a bit worried.

I didn't know Mark was so young. A life taken far, far too soon.

I hope heaven is being regaled by Mark, his wisdom, his laughter and his passion for good food, good wine, good times, travel, laughter and much more.

I watched it in the air enroute to Man using Sq's Wifi....apart from occasional buffering, the sound quality was very good. Hearing Mark's sister and mother speak brought a few tears to my eyes. How they kept their composure, I don't know!

What a wonderful person Mark was, and it is not fair he left at such a young age.

I went to the Funeral; it was a poignant and uplifting ceremony.

Home now ... dinner in Surrey Hills was a duck too far, so now enjoying a Rockford, one of Mark's favorite cellars...

He has had me going for years that he was older than me - I proved my age to him but he would never reciprocate. Now I know why! Youngster

I held it in until the photo montage and memories came flooding back - seemed the sty in my eye was making it water

After a drink across the road, we went to dinner. Again, thanks @Oscarq for driving some of us there and almost stopping on the road so I could capture the moment - again, I felt it was @penegal blessing us. With an exquisite shot of the CBD.







A perfect way to finish off the night. @penegal would have approved. @LinaLee was in full flight



This afternoon I went past the Deloitte’s building from which Mark would join me for a coffee / hot choc ️ if I was only in MEL for a day trip. Went back to his favourite one in the laneway opposite and just stood outside telling him I was there. I couldn’t take a photo — I was choked up. Damn that cold wind

Going to really miss you @penegal, the realisation dawned on me. To all those that turned up at the funeral, drinks, dinner or have expressed their memories on this thread, thank you That' s what makes it a fantastic community.
