Thought I'd have a bit of fun with this one. I noticed on my BA97 page, that I am currently:

Flown 745 sectors totalling 984,009 miles since Thursday, March 03, 1988

People with access to BA97 have a minor advantage, in that I post my flights ahead of time - but the disadvantage is that my flying is sporadic and I generally only (book and) post a week or so ahead of flight date.

So be prepared to chose a date well into 2014 and try for a number of sectors as well.

Book will close on 1 January 2014 at 00.00.01

*puts on thinking cap* ;)

199 sectors for 455,266 miles according to FlightDiary. First flight was in 1993. Although 1/3 of the total miles is attributable to the flying I've done since the start of 2012.

I didn't think that my Flight Tracker entry had worked :o - didn't even realise it had partially accepted some of it. Well, it's wrong :o

I do know it will be in 2014, as we are planning an overseas trip that will certainly take me over the magic mark...

P.S. Your edit now has me understanding that you are talking about your own flying...not mine ;). Waay off topic :D

Hmmm... another 12,000 miles to the million. No international travel booked. This could take a while. :p

What's in it for us? ;)

EDIT: Didn't notice the "overseas trip" part. I'd be banking you'll throw over the line on that trip. (No, that is not a registered bet).

Winner will receive something from an airline - perhaps an unopened amenity kit - somehow the used F PJ's probably wouldn't make the grade.

A kids activity pack??? You know you spend too much time in a plane when jr (all of 4 yrs old about to turn 5 but acts like a teen) complains they have already done said activity

Update: 986,651 miles over 749 sectors since 3rd March 1988

How do you obtain four SCs? I know there is an explanation for irregular totals from years gone by but do not know how the figure would be obtained in the current membership year.

Sorry, I'm behind play. What's a "BA97 page" ? (But if its anything to do with FacePimple, don't worry about it.)

Maybe two separate 15SC trips under a 50% bonus status credit promotion... rounding down each one would give 7 + 7 = 14

I was thinking 3 x 8 "Tier Credit" earning flights in the late 90's ... But of course its for 2013/2014.

Perfect response.

That's also a reason how my Lifetime total is now 11,151 so I am looking forward to reaching 14,001 :D

For a while there in the early 00's one could only garner SC's in multiples of 10 ... I was stuck on an 'odd' number of 5.

That all changed May 2005.

Update: I had some flights last week and my numbers have changed:

The march continues...

You say that you only fly spasmodic, so I am guessing that you must fly a few First Class flights during the year to maintain your WP (platinum) status?

My SCs end in 7 and that always looks odd to me.
