Hi, I have a return trip on CX to TPE expiring on 18 Feb (6 months from date of issue) but I can't travel until late March. Any idea if CX will allow me to travel in Mar?

They may, what class, certainly heard of extensions in J.

When did you travel the outbound?

Also when was this travel originally ticketed?

(Dates)

CX TPE-HKG-MEL-TPE in J.

TPE-HKG 26/8/13
HKG-TPE on 28/8/13

I bought the ticket on CX website on 20/8/13 and paid A$2.5k. Need to find an alternative now as the same fare will costs significantly more and no stopover in HKG which is what I need.

Thanks. Will give it a try today.

Indeed - it is quite a simple thing to make a phone call. Asking on a forum seems kind of pointless when nobody could give you a definite answer other than CX themselves. Best people here could say is 'should be ok' or 'maybe'

Called CX Aus office and no luck. The very nice lady said I need to pay for the fare difference which cost more than the original return ticket.

I'll try to call the HK office to try my luck again.

After trying for a few times calling both Aus and HKG CX office, the best I could do was a partial refund. They will not agree to extending the deadline, not even for a day.
