Using Lavatories in Flight not in your Cabin Class?

Re: WP treatment in Y

As much as I sympathise with the inconvenience caused to F pax by J pax using their precious toilet, it's not nearly as bad as parking the car in a blue zone without permit (I'm assuming you refer to disabled parking, not the uni blue zone parking).

Yes, disabled parking. The point being it's the same selfish, entitled attitude therefore they probably do both.

Parking in a disabled area is one of the worst acts an able-bodied self centred pig can do......far worse than stealing a flush on a plane. Given these types don't hesitate to park their load in the disabled zone - I doubt they would hesitate to drop their load elsewhere;)

Re: WP treatment in Y

And when they hog the plum parking spots they haven't even got the decency to limp away. :o

Re: WP treatment in Y

Definitely in the ticketed cabin for me. That is what i paid for, that is what i use. Simples. While I don't find myself going all that often, especially on shorter 1 to 2 hour flights, I'll make the long walk back from row 4 on a 738. There have been a few occasions where the FA has invited me to use the J dunny due usually to cart in aisle.

Re: WP treatment in Y

When I am in business class I dont care who is using the business class lavatories as I am too busy enjoying the flight.

I flew TG J BKK-MEL yesterday. There may have been lavs at the front of the J cabin but I was using the lavs at the back of the cabin, which I believed were for J only (much bigger than a standard Y lav, curtain tightly pulled between lav and Y cabin, Bvlgari products, never a line for the lav etc).

Towards the end of the flight I went to the lav I had been using a few times during the flight to freshen up (brush teeth etc). I had to wait for the first time of the flight. Someone eventually came out of the lav and went back into the Y cabin. When I went into the lav the smell was absolutely ungodly. I won't go into specifics but I very nearly vomited on the spot because of it. The toilet had not been flushed and the sink not drained and it was probably the worst smell I have ever encountered anywhere in my life (I had been in that lav 90 mins earlier and there was no smell at all). I doused the cubicle in the Bvlgari fragrance in the lav (Im pretty sure they don't have Bvlgari in Y lavs!!) but it only partly covered up the hideous smell. I brushed my teeth and went back to my seat feeling dirty, smelly and annoyed and it put a real dampner on the end of the flight.

Yes a J pax could have done the same but they didn't. Y pax should stick to their own cabin.

Re: WP treatment in Y

Last SQ flight I was on the young woman in front of myself in J, on boarding and several times soon after, made repeated trips to the F toilet.

Each time she came back clearly carrying more out, than she went in with, with a little bag she had....and which she then emptied on her return

I am guessing she was cleaning out the amenities draws....

If a repeat offender, and by her manner I am pretty sure that she would have been, she may well have also been souveniring the perfume etc, if she had some form of cap etc.

Definitely a "non permit holder" blue zone parker...they are everywhere:evil:

Why stop at disabled parking? They probably go through red lights regularly, embezzle money from their employer, lie on their tax return, borrow more than they can repay and declare themselves bankrupt. Heck they could even be murderers.

All because they didn't use the aircraft lavatories in the cabin they paid for. Yep makes sense if your thinking is warped.

Is that a compliment;)

Re: WP treatment in Y

I was on SQ J to Europe , waited to use the lav and a man got out and went back to his whY seat and the flight attendant politely asked me to wait while she 'refreshed' the lav... I felt like she didn't want me to catch the germs from whY...she even folded the toilet paper ...that's what I call a service!!

Re: WP treatment in Y

Really a lavatory is to be used as needed. My sister ate some chicken in QF lounge which gave her a tummy upset into the long haul flight. She had already pre booked her seating. In those circs i am sure everyonw would have been happier for her to use the nearest lavatory than have "an accident" that needed cleaning up. None of us knows when the dreaded lurgi will strike. We can surely be thoughtful of each other and considerate. JoyV

In suites it is refreshed after every visit. This is the kind of service you are paying for and is exactly why J pax shouldn't be using suites toilets. A suites passenger should NEVER have to enter a dirty toilet.

Yes a lavatory in your cabin is to be used as needed.

The J and F pax are paying more for their use of their lavatories with additional amenities like better soaps, perfumes, moisturisers, toothbrushes, hand towels, shavers and whatever else the airline puts in there for THOSE PASSENGERS who paid the extra for it.

BNE - MEL last night I was in Y , row 4. Asked if I could use J facilities as there was congestion at the back. CSM gave the Ok and told me (quietly) it was only for 'crowd control' that they have the policy. No queue in J, or galley and flight deck, I suppose.

Whether they would give that answer to others I'm not sure ( I had met the same CSM on flights the previous week).

I am torn. Much as I prefer they enforce benefits I am entitled to (like PB) I appreciate being allowed into J from row 4 rather than going all the way back.

congestion meaning you would have to wait? if that was the case, why wouldn't you just wait?

Joe Hockey (federal treasurer) said yesterday the age of entitlement is over.
So irrespective of what status you are, use the dunnies in your own area.

Qantas could offer WP pax in Y better quality toilet paper which could be made available in a special "WP in Y amenity kit".

The moral perhaps: NEVER eat the chicken in the lounge (then you can be happy waiting for the Y toilets in flight.

Yes. Agreed. The Y pax only paid for the Y toilet(s).

...

"Really" a seat on a plane is just a seat to be used while the plane is moving from A to B.

DSC yourself, earn an exalted WP status and board first followed by a "grab any seat" game ?

When is that happening, may I be advised ?

Is that what the loo grabbers want ?

I will pay for Red E Deal / Sale whY fare, but I will saunter to wherever I want to "drop my load" [amaroo's terminology ] because it is unfair and class-biased otherwise ????

Plus, you know, I am WP !

A lot of objections [to the loo transgression objection] raised various scenarios of diseases, incontinence, blocked aisle etc.... where in reality, we [the loo objectors] did not see it happening.

All we saw are able-bodied pax sauntering / striding to the higher class loos for their own comfort - but not paying a cent / point for that.

Yes, I do know how Crohn's / UC (ulcerative colitis) patients are like [before someone else objects].
