Double SCs on eligible Domestic Flights and Double Qantas Points with Qantas Cash

I don't think this is much of an excuse. I know other promo's have said 'up to 6 weeks' but I think almost everyone on here has had them post within a few days to a week in the past. This causes chaos for those close to the end of their membership year. Not really good enough to be honest.

Red Roo wasn't offering an excuse, merely explaining the process.

No-one was forced to take up the offers, if they were close to their anniversary date they could have just made double to trips to be sure. As lots of people have said, this was an unexpected double whammy of SC bonuses, so I am guessing many people either would not have maintained their status or not achieved a boost without them.

As Red Roo said, the bonus SC's apply from when they are earned, so no one will miss out on their just rewards. If there are any SNAFU's contact QFF.

I must admit, in the past the weekly crediting (was it on Tuesdays?) worked well, and realistically clearing the number of SC to be given every week is probably smarter than letting it all sit for 2 months! :p

Well let's see. I am simply stating I think there is a problem this time around whether Red roo wants to admit it or not. It just seems very strange that in the past it has never taken this long. IT should be improving not getting worse

I agree the delay seems strange. Weird that only 2 people on the forum are reporting that they have received their DSCs promptly. I too suspect there is some issue behind the scenes.

There are going to be a lot of calls made to QF over the next few weeks unless some DSC crediting starts to happen.

who's going to be the first guinea pig to call on Sunday...? Hopefully it's not required, however if a call is required, hopefully it is a painless process...

Hopefully once they start processing the first lot, the rest just roll on through, but that might be wishful thinking....

Okay, I'll ask a question about the Double Points for Qantas Cash purchases.

The T&C's state "Eligible purchases made with your Qantas Cash facility from 01 to 31 December 2013 will earn Qantas Points at a rate of one point per AU$1 spent in Australian Dollars and two points per AU$1 Australian Dollar equivalent of foreign currency spend, as opposed to the regular rate of one point per AU$2 spent and one point per AU$1 equivalent of foreign currency spend." but there is no specific timeframe noted (unless I am missing it) for the crediting . Am I to presume that it is the standard 6 weeks from the end of December??

I had Qantas cash points credit, i haven't checked if it was the promo amount..

This offer does seem more widespread compared to previous double SC offers. It could well and truly be that the IT department may be swamped compared to previous offers.

IME if you receive a personal DSC promotion the duplicate SC's post within a day or three of the principal post after the flight. I cannot understand how the marketing gurus at QF believe the best way to reward its loyal QFF's is to delay the posting of DSC's by up to six weeks and then expect them to also monitor and complain if they still do not get posted. The frustration this delay creates is surely counter productive to QF and its interests and it actually creates dissatisfaction and potentially lost of confidence in QF offers as seen in this thread. If there is no posting problem with the promotion why would anyone deliberately annoy its loyal customers when there is no advantage for anyone to do so. Beats me !!

Mine simply states:

27 DEC 13QANTAS CASH DOMESTIC TRANSACTION 23DEC13---80-

So I know that it wasn't my Double points as December hadn't finished yet.

My QFCash account shows similar details:

Recently earned points with Qantas Cash*
30 days:80
12 months:80
* Allow up to eight weeks for points earned using Qantas Cash to appear.

My December transactions (according to QF Cash site) were $195.30, so I don't know where they get their 80 points  (even adding up transactions going backwards, there is no $80 combination possible).

Also waiting on the 500 bonus points as well from the "activation & load $250" offer in November, but that looks like it'll be a while before I can expect them according to the T&C's:

If successful, the bonus points will appear in your Frequent Flyer account 6-8 weeks after the promotional period has ended

where the end of the promotional period is, I believe, 30 January 2014 according to the T&C's

To be eligible to receive the 500 bonus points you must be the recipient of this email, register by clicking the button in the body of the email by 31 December 2013, activate your Qantas Cash facility within 30 days of registering for the promotion and load a minimum AU $250 or equivalent in foreign currency in one transaction by 30 January 2014.

- thus 6 to 8 weeks means 31 March 2014 at latest. Thankfully I'm not needing them to post to book my next mASA
