Yesterday I was on a domestic J flight subject to an aircraft change and no catering was loaded meaning breakfast was this:

Normally I wouldn't have minded but I'd just gotten off an International flight where the J "cafe breakfast" was half a toasted cheese and tomato sandwich which I turned down as it was still served two hours before landing.
So it is worth following up with Qantas or just treat it as one of those things. I didn't mention anything on board as it was a good crew, it wasn't their fault and they had enough to deal with.
