When all is said and done, the QP was originally opened IIRC as a club lounge, exactly that, as a place where QC members, who had paid for membership, and J pax could gather before a flight in a private area away from the masses, where an occasional computer was available, where a work station was available and some slightly more comfortable chairs were available to sit it. The original ones had some bikkies and some instant coffee where you could help yourself. Those facilities have improved significantly to what we have now. It is still meant to be a lounge where we can wait for our flights and have a snack and a drink whilst we wait. A SNACK & A DRINK, Not a three course dining room for one and all.
It has never ever been advertised as an al-la carte dining area with high class offerings etc. I think many people are thinking that they are a bit DYKWIA and simply expect too much.
