This is my "go to" card now for overseas cash withdrawals; I use the 28 degrees MC for foreign credit card transactions....for some reason Citibank offered me 10000 QF points to open this account last year, and what is the saying "Don't look a gift horse in the mouth"?

To be clear, is this the card that begins 431239?
I got mine in the mail a week ago. I applied after 28 Degrees changed their tact on 'cash advances'.
Also, to double-check: if this is indeed the card, does it offer similarly awesome exchange rates on cash withdrawels overseas (ie. pretty much market rates rather than several per cent worse than market)?
Yes thats the card, and you can expect rates close to XE or similar, ie mid market.
Mine turned up in the mail last week, along with about 3-4 extra mailings with the one off activation pin, telephone pin, T&Cs, Welcome to Citibank letter. I would like their printing and mailing account!
Hi all,
Have my Citi plus Debit card.
Attempted to check balance/access online.
Asks for telephone sms info.
How do you access when overseas and no mobile? Use the mobile app via WIFI with do
Just logged out and unable to access using current password.
Rang support and told me to reset password and did but now cannot use old return to original password?
Asked them to call back...no call back?
Rang back and they did call back and said once a password reset can never return to original password....noooooo ah bugger
Have been using the card to withdraw in Italy and France (still in Paris). Have made more than 7 withdrawals, all without operator's fee. I think it is not easy to find one that charges fees (found one so far but forgot the name).
The Deutche Bank ATM in Rome is the only machine allowing more than 500 Euro per withdrawal ( I tried 700).
One might not be using their 'home' country SIM.Why no mobile? It doesn't cost anything to receive an SMS so that is easiest...
If you make it clear to Citi that are adamant the mobile access code is of no use to you they will send you a code key generator. (Eventually )...

I got the same message, but was all good.So signed up on Thu. Did all the online identification stuff (which has worked for me on every other service) but it isn't instant. Tells you if you don't here back within 48 hours then you need to do over the counter.
Just poor that this isn't automatic
YMMV - for me the online ID was suffucient. So signed up on Thu. Did all the online identification stuff (which has worked for me on every other service) but it isn't instant. Tells you if you don't here back within 48 hours then you need to do over the counter.

This happened to me too. After 48 hours, I hadn't heard anything so I rang them to enquire whether I really need to have my ID checked given I was already a Citibank customer. I was told that it was all approved on their end and another day or two passed before I got the 'Welcome to Citibank Plus' email. So signed up on Thu. Did all the online identification stuff (which has worked for me on every other service) but it isn't instant. Tells you if you don't here back within 48 hours then you need to do over the counter.
