I have a slightly different problem with mine - the expiry date shown is 11/13 so they are cutting it very fine to send out a replacement card to me, does anyone want to bet if I get a new card and if there is an annual fee payable??

My card (badly de-laminated now) is also set to expire 11/13, hopefully the new card comes before the old one expires. Wonder if it will be Orange or the newer Silver colour...?

Interesting. I received my new card for Nov13 expiry early last week. I haven't activated it yet as my old will work for another 4 weeks. I have serious issues with these cards delaminating (I think the current one is my third in 2 years) so I will not activate this one until the last week of November.

Shintaro10x, this one is silver (but no bonus 1000 points this time ;) )

My card has delaminated quite a bit so as soon as my 11/13 card arrives the old one will go in de-bin.

No email received concerning application for a week.
So rang then today.
Told approved not sure limit.
They said to get extra card/second need to provide 100 point ID check once new card received?

I have one card and no "extra/second" card. That's all that I need.

Yes, indeed it is that stupid. My mother is my supp cardholder and she had to go to a local Woolies for a 100 points ID check. No idea why they are that cough about a SECOND attached card.

I am guessing the law has changed.

The banks I checked seem to have the same policy for supplementary cards. Anz, HSBC, Bankwest, CBA... There's probably more.

I did Westpac, Citibank and Amex around the same time and none had a problem. All I know is it's unlikely I'll be keeping the WW EDR Qantas card for a second year--it irritates me in just about ever way possible: blocking my card for obviously legitimate transactions, took until my 3rd card until over-the-phone (card absent) payments worked, horrible web interface, ridiculous over-the-limit fee else hard-limited...I'm sure I could find more!

I am going the distance with this card. It has not stopped working for ages now. They increased my credit limit and the annual fee of $89 for an uncapped QF point earning card at a point per dollar is a winner.

I use the BankWest Platinum card for about 2 months out of 12 because we hit the annual points capping. Woolies EDRCC is a card that keeps on giving as it has my EDR bonus points earn barcode on the back of it. It is a bargain card and I use it a lot for our household living. They were lovely with increasing my credit limit so I don't have to reload the card mid month as much. There is no way I would churn this card as there is only Citi Select at $700 / $749 that is comparable but that card won't allow points on ATO at all.

But for those of us that aren't spending bajillions of dollars relating to business transactions on our cards, the capped 1ppd QF-direct cards aren't so bad :)

Is there a 1:1 (uncapped) MC cheaper than the QEDRCC though...? For $89 per annum this is a great card as long as you play by the "rules"

I will probably sign up to this card after I have the mac bank visa plat for a year. Then after that maybe the HSBC card lol. Then not sure after that!

My experience is the below:

Rules or no rules (i.e. keeping ATO payment volume and value in check), the above is enough for me to want to turf it.

I think that this card is great. I have pretty much stopped using my Westpac Earth Plat card, and will cease that card very soon.

I will be left with cards - WOW EDR CC and a Citi Select card (replaced my 28 Degrees card).

Would you feel the same way if you had an Earth Black?
My WW card barely gets used almost all my spend goes on my Altitude Black Amex or Amex Plat Edge.

How can you compare an Earth Black card ($395 p.a) with a QEDRCC ($89 p.a)...?

Sure you don't like the QEDRCC, you have made your point, but I disagree with your logic... a 1:1 "unlimited" Mastercard at $89 per annum you have to expect some small issues, but generally this is a easy card to keep IMHO
