Hey Qantas, why is it that ....?

You said qf almost totally ignores Mel for international flights. There was nothing about the city size in your comment. If Mel was truly ignored there would be NO international flights just like, say, adl.

Sorry. You've lost me.

Thanks Red Roo, good to know someone cares ;)

I have a 'Qantas why is it...' Today I booked a return trip to London in J class for work at end of Sept, then sought to secure an Award booking for partner in Business Melb to London with a purchase of an economy ticket for the return. Called Plat FF, was told request was sent off and then declined by system, then reviewed by 'Analyst' answer still no. Partner had to now purchase economy tix both ways. So why is it that I can't use my points to secure an award seat? Awkward me sitting upstairs with partner downstairs! Second choice would be to secure an upgrade. That's not available either! What's the point of having points, and status if you can't use them??

With all due respect, your partner is still able to sit upstairs, it'll be two cabins back from yours...

Lol, of course I forgot new config means I can bring the J nuts and nibbles straight down the aisle rather than navigate the stairs!

When I was young and I got something for tea I didn't quite fancy my mum used to say to me "think about all the little children in Africa who don't have anything to eat".

Perhaps Q could just put that footer on the menus? LOL.

EH

They have the UNICEF envelopes.. It's a little indirect, though effective.
Also for a worthy cause.. :D

You can put your unwanted ham & cheese croissant in the envelope to help the starving kids in Africa.

Oh - and the brussel sprouts that caused the original comments when I was a kid ;)

Doesn't always let you.... A couple of months ago Mr FM and I both had exit row seats. We checked in with mobiles mine worked his required him to see an agent to complete his check in. We've given exit row the flick - I am so tired of selecting one and then finding we've lost them due to equipment changes....It seems to happen a lot on the SYD-CBR run.

I have had the same thing happen 4 out of 4 MEL-SYD flights. The equipment changes seem to be occuring more often.

My Qf profile has an Australian postal address (as my other address) and a (london) UK home address.

I was very impressed to see an invite to enter a competition .... The prize? A trip to London. Why thanks Qantas (and competition was only open to AU residents anyway).

So why do you base that email on my postal address? Or did you just mail shoot all ffers... A few overseas members won't care, will they.

I also go this email to win flights to London and attend the iTunes Festival flying in PE.

What caught my attention was 'maximum notional value of 2 return PE flights to London' = $6032. WTF???? Really???? QF, when have you ever charged $3016 per person to fly PE to London? The fare is more normally over $6k per person. The cheapest I have ever seen it is $4300. Where do you get your valuations done?

You advertise ASA's on your website when you login . . . . . but the link takes you nowhere???

Why is it that the fares that come up on the iPhone / iPad app are not as good as the fares on the main website?

I think I mut be jinxed when it comes to equipment changes - I went to so much trouble to choose A380 both ways on our trip to Hong Kong, but due to problems with the plane in LAX we ended up on a 747 last night. Could have been worse I guess - we could have ended up with a delayed flight. However why is it that the amenities pack in F on the A380 is so much nicer than the one on the 747? Surely they should be the same in F whether you are flying 380 or 747? Or was it a J pack? Not that it matters I only use the toothbrush but these little questions puzzle me. :)

... I received yet another competition that implies I can enter but I can't...

Was it a black Kate Spade with coloured "lights" on it? If so, J.

We were caught up in the A380 Nancy Bird saga when all A380's were recalled. We had flown on her the week before. When everyone got to LA from New York, those on the Sydney flight were put on to 747's. Those on the flight to Melbourne only found out when they were called to the gate that they could not fly and all other flights were full. They were stuck in LA for a couple of days.

Why us it that when I check in on the Qantas app or the mobile website I cannot select seats without going to the full website?

And why when logging in on a phone, when selecting the full version, on the very next thing you want to do you are flicked back to the mobile version again?
