Hey Qantas, why is it that ....?

Why is it that...
The vego food offered by Q has not changed in 2 years. I am sick of roast vegetable sandwiches for lunch and rice, chickpea and lentils for dinner.

2 YEARS!

there is a fantastic vegetarian lasagne that we have had a couple of times. Otherwise I agree.

For the first time ever I now get off -[]long haul[/-] QF flights feeling hungry.

I know the feeling sometimes, but I think that's really where arrivals access as a benefit comes into its own, provided there's a lounge at the airport. A bit of dinner and a freshen up before collecting the car really makes for a great experience.

I had that on SIN-BNE last weekend. I had to ask for it from the menu otherwise I would have had chickpeas, lentils and rice. Again.

J menu? Unfortunately for those of us who have to go whY you are stuck with the same old tasteless lentil pilaf, unless you are on another airline such as Cathay (or even Air Vanuatu!!) who seem to be able to make a nice vege meal for Y.

Agree about the potato pizza - although the chicken burrito they serve on domestic is delish!

Why is that.......the kiosk spits out those flimsy paper boarding passes. I love the cardboard boarding passes and know they don't work for the kiosk but the thin paper ones are hard to keep in a decent state

When I was young and I got something for tea I didn't quite fancy my mum used to say to me "think about all the little children in Africa who don't have anything to eat".

Perhaps Q could just put that footer on the menus? LOL.

As this is a "Hey Qantas, why is that ...?"

Here is one that amused me this morning.

I received an email from Qantas to say "your flights have changed" (I'm going to SYD via ADL from PER in November)

Anyway I just confirmed the change. Then the next time I look at the booking a message comes up something like "there is not much time between your flights" Anyway I looked again and wow they're not kidding.....I arrive in ADL at 12 15 pm but leave ADL for SYD at 12 15 pm. Bit tight!

So I'm thinking "Hey guys, why you telling me.....you changed it!!!!" LOL.

However I am pretty sure the P1 team will fix this probably before I even finish this post!

I'm sure it'll be fine. After all, another airline once offered me for sale, a connection time of negative 15mins on their website. Yes, negative 15 mins. Unfortunately, a time machine transfer did not appear to be included.

Anyway, here are my questions...
1. Why does Jetstar Asia process a refund faster than Qantas? Sometimes, I'm not sure which one is the LCC anymore.
2. Not sure if Qantas can answer this, but it's somewhat related to the above... why is it that, on one of HKG's most popular travel guide, when they mentioned Qantas, they posted a picture of a Jetstar A320?

It's like a big country town here in ADL. Not in a hurry to go anywhere. The plane will wait.

Yes J menu. Agree about the Y menu.

Did I mention '2 years'?

+1
Whoever approved the potato pizza should be named & shamed.
That sort of offering I would expect from a low cost fast food outlet, but even then who would ever buy it?

Although I am personally bemused by the concept I have a colleague that drives across Melbourne for one. A quick poll has made that 2.
I guess I depends how and by whom it is made
I agree it seems a brave decision to supply it to people who have paid a lot of money to be trapped in a metal tube with their food.

[h=2]Hey Qantas, why is it that[/h]
you needed to go to Qantas office in China to get a ticket issued.
This is ridiculous as other airliners can just pay over the internet and done.

I agree about those horrible flimsy paper boarding passes from the kiosks.. I almost lined up to get checked in by a person the other day because I was sick of those paper BPs which bend and break so easily (but there was a long queue so I didn't bother in the end). :p

Why is it that Qantas flies really coughpy sardine cans to AKL?
Why is it that Qantas almost totally ignores Melbourne for international services?
Why is it that Qantas now flies through Dubai?
Why is it that Qantas is going to be subsumed by Emirates? And if not it's passengers are.
Has AJ read Faust?

Oops almost forgot. Why is it that Qantas still flies rattling old 767's to HNL and charges $8000 for a Business ticket in a coughpy 20 year old recliner seat?

And why is it that I now fly VA, NZ, SQ and CX but rarely QF?

Oh how my heart cries for you poor MEL customers - nearly ignored by QF...
Get a grip, you could be worse off (I.e in either PER or ADL...)

Hate to break the news but MEL is far bigger than PER and ADL combined and will be Australia's biggest city by 2030 on current forecasts. That being said most of the other airlines are not ignoring MEL so we do have choice.

Oh cry me a river - at least you have the choice to fly QF (unlike ADL).

It is funny how most airlines are adding flights to ADL and PER, yet QF reduces and ignores these two cities internationally

Yes. In Adelaide we have a choice too. SQ seems very full these days. :)

You said qf almost totally ignores Mel for international flights. There was nothing about the city size in your comment. If Mel was truly ignored there would be NO international flights just like, say, adl.
