Qantas passenger found with rat

Ok then lets call it another name, body scanner. Based on the Melbourne Airport website they have been introduced.
The main concern and to why I posted my comment was the fact the rat had already flown and the person was attempting
to fly another sector with it.

I was not expecting my comments to be dissected so apologies for the wrong name.

Umm it's not a case of just a name. An x-ray is a particular physical phenomena. You can not have a full body X-ray if X-rays are not being used. I'm just suggesting you should try using the proper name instead of just making it up.

I was under the impression that you can refuse the full body scanner and ask for pat down. When did this change?

Given that you've posted in the thread about the fact that there is no opt out in Australia, I'm surprised you have to ask.

Never, at least never in OZ.

Since the implementation of these in Oz, if you are asked to do the scanner thing and you refuse ... no pat down ... and you do not fly!

I must have forgotten they are compulsory in Australia.

Not having a choice is not good.
