Oh the dilemma, offer VFF my backside or not............Ummm no, thanks.

Perhaps it's been decided the duct tape and the loose armrests doesn't quite elevate them from LCC.

I was told by a CSM that due to VA having only 4 (1/50) not 5 (1/36) crew they have to be able to see the cabin from the inner jump seat and that's what what the purple plastic is for. Correct me if I'm wrong.

You might be right, but I would have thought that this wouldn't be an issue, because the curtains are not closed for takeoff and landing (i.e. when crew are in the jump seats)

Great to hear they are asking ask for our (valued!) opinion, I just flew into Bris tonight - but alas also can't make it tomorrow or Thurs.

Will be interested to hear what goes on.

(put me down for leather to!)

I don't particularly like the new tray tops that the plane I was on (Rocky-Bris) - ATR72 - but I'm sure that there are others? - when it opens up, its too high for me to comfortably rest my laptop and myself as well as my fellow passenger had to make do with using laptops on our laps.

I can't send a PM as I'm a new member, but I registered to say I'd be interested in assisting tonight or tomorrow at 5:30, currently a Platinum member with VA and have flown business in the last few months.

VFF and Keith009, what is happening within VA at the moment??

45 mins before the first group was meant to meet. You haven't posted anything although I have been aware of the changed circumstances for more than 24 hours.

VERY poor marketing and communication here. I thought QF had the mortgage on that...perhaps I was wrong.

Hi QF WP, unfortunately these groups had to be postponed, and all members that had submitted their details had been contacted by phone.

Sorry that we didn't let you know too...

We thank those that expressed their interest and apologise for any inconvenience at the change of events.

Comments that you have all left about your thoughts on our business class product (and service), is, as always, immensely valuable!

Thanks

Virgin - nice try it is a pity it never went off. If you ever fly to mid NSW and need a participant, give me a call - I promise I wont get angry at you if something happens and you have to cancel

All well and good except that someone forgot to contact me (and, assumedly, the gentleman who arrived just before me). It's not a very good reflection on Virgin.

Personally, I'm not angry about it given the honest apology/response offered by the manager but I am disappointed that I had to spend an hour on the road getting there and back and, more importantly, that no-one made the effort to contact me. On that, I acknowledge I was in a place today where I couldn't get mobile coverage for most of the day but there was no voicemail left and, given I had provided my membership number, none of the other contact possibilities were used (no email, no message on the home phone and no message here).

I also feel for the manager who has to stay there tonight and apologise to those who turn up every hour :)

:tongue-in-cheek:

Good to see VA's event on-time-performance and reliability is as good as its flight services.

(Sorry, couldn't help this one... I've had a few bad occurrences recently)

Hopefully take 2 is in Melbourne. (or fly me to BNE......)

That gentleman might have been me (I registered for the 1730h session).

I first had to work out how to get into the building - there's no clear front door!

I thought VA were quite ambitious pulling this altogether so fast, given the notice was a few days earlier, and the PM confirming attendance was the day before the first clinic!

I got that acceptance PM yesterday, but no other notice. Turned up and, like you, got an apology, an explanation, an idea of the postponement and an appropriate response.

Some advance notice would've been nice - the original PM had my AFF handle (obviously), VFF number and mobile contact - I'm sure someone would've collected these details and put them into a register, that could've been processed by someone, and that is if it were not possible to put out a blanket notice on AFF.

I left my card with the managers so I'm still interested in the clinic when it will eventually happen, which I'm told should be soon (and in a better location, too).

I was lucky to have spoken to a contact in VA who advised me. I knew that you might not be able to post a message but thought it should be reported.

Not quite all were contacted VFF. My message stopped anat0l from turning up at 5:30 as he hasn't been contacted.

Aw man. If I organized an event for clients and they turned up and the event had been cancelled and they had not been informed heads (mine) would roll!
This is such a bad reflection on virgin in my eyes.
