In LA now and waiting for my connecting flight to SF. All I can say is wow. It was a wonderful flight experience. The cabin crew were lovely and I had one FA who was simply the best. She made the whole flight absolutely pleasurable. This is the kind of service QF should be known for. I hope my upgrade on the return goes through!

Knew you would enjoy it. You are right about the FAs, they can really influence the experience. All the best with the return leg.

Glad you had a wonderful time. Was the FA Victoria? I've had had her and she is just so nice. Fingers crossed you get the upgrade on the way back.

Congrats on the upgrade!

The problem is that once you have experienced First on an A380, it makes business feel like economy :(

At least with first on the QF 747's it's not that great, so going back to business class is not that bad!

Good lord...don't tell me that! LOL! It was a wonderful experience and I think it was great that I was travelling alone this time. I don't know how I'd feel if my travel partner were sitting separately and you'd only get to be together for meals...I may not have enjoyed it as much as I did.

Not Victoria. I had Nola. She was absolutely wonderful and a credit to QF.

Glad you enjoyed the experience. :)
Thanks. It really was a "first class" experience. Catching the connecting AA flight to SFO was such a come-down...a lunchtime flight with no meal served in J. I understand that the flight is short but only offering a pack of nuts in the J cabin??

Yep no food in under 2 hours I think it is. Whenever I am tempted to whine about QF domestic J, I think about AA domestic F and realise how spoilt we are. However on the plus side you are now in San Francisco - Boudin sour dough and Ghiradelli chocolates - overcome with envy :)

You found Nuts??!?! (as in more than one or two?)

My recent experiences have been an underwhelming packet consisting mainly of mini rice crackers and pretzels.

Well...yes, it was that packet...but I did find more than 2 nuts! ;)

Yes I have the same concerns since I only travel overseas with my wife and young son.

I am used to Australian and South-East Asian full-service airline standards and what American-based airlines offer is just abysmal! As for being in San Francisco, I couldn't agree with you more about the Ghiradelli chocolates and Boudin sourdough. Goodbye any resemblance of a slim waistline... :( At least my tastebuds will be happy.

Doing QF F across the pond soon, connecting with AA "F" to LAS. Will assume the 'brace position' upon boarding the AA craft, in anticipation of a "hard landing" (experience)!

Hmmm ...might have to have a 'steadier' in the AA Flounge first :).

The QF First seat design on the A380 is perfect for travelling alone. Overall, I found the MH First seat design on their A380s much better.

The question is brace position for being able to reach the seat in front or not! LOL!!

I wish my upgrade would come through for QF9 tomorrow  T-28 and 3 empty seats in F still showing on EF, but no text, no love :(
