Upgrading a Sale fare for Points Cabin Upgrade

Hi There

I booked a sale fare on QF11 07 may - i was wondering if its possible to pay the extra to purchase an upgradeable fare..?

It will depend on the terms and conditions of the original fare purchased. It's best to discuss your options with your booking agent. Alternatively our Reservations team on 131313 may be able to point you in the right direction. :)

rang up today .. was $ 1800 to purchase upgradeable fare, ive done it one way as the loading looks light and a probable upgrade to bus hopefully

That seems like a lot of money....where are you flying to, and what cost was your original fare?

I hate how the sake fares to USA aren't upgradable. I ended up going Y+ with my original booking so it'll be more of a soft landing should I miss out on J.

As far as I know, "sale" fares to anywhere aren't upgradeable. And this is not just with QF.

Not quite, while in general that can be the case, some "sale" fares are indeed upgradeable. When booking, always check the fare rules (and get a screen print of favourable ones ;)).
