Don't need to call Warnies mum as I have my own. ;)

Blood pressure is the only thing right with my body. Checked last week and it was 102/78 which shocked the GP as well.

Starved myself today....

That's impressive.

I am an orphan now so you are lucky JohnK.
102/78 ?
Is that with chemicals?
Starving yourself?
Just remember that is a day you will not get back so don't do that too often!
Food and oxygen rank pretty highly in our lives.

My blood pressure is mainly good naturally.

Starving yourself?

Need to lose weight and quickly. My joints are hurting even more and cannot carry my body weight around.

We were in the country this weekend, visiting my sister and family.
Beautiful weather, fresh air and sunshine

Think my blood pressure has reduced already :)

Does anyone know who is going to do the MKY-OOL flights.

Rumour that they will be starting soon.

VA have changed a few routes lately

For what it's worth, in response to the latest string, I detest both golf and shopping and my weight and BP are fine! The only correlates with the latter that I can find (or that I am am prepared to consider :p) are J & F travel, champagne and good Pinot noir (note the last two correlates are negative) ;).

The 18th is not a bad place to finally get a put right, if your Adam Scott.
I understand - quite a few just did not drop - even that one did a 160° lip before dropping.

I am recording the golf this morning and have no interest coming across any information regarding any related event to it until tomorrow ... :p

i.e. I am trying to do a personal results blackout ...

Good luck with that ;)
Succeeded, although the ABC news at 7pm spending most of the first 7 minutes on golf keyed me in to it being Aussie win - just did not know which one ...

And the winner is.....
Too early when you posted that - it was not until ~9:40am that the final shot dropped ....

Great to see Adam Scott finally win a major and one that has eluded Australians for a long long time.

A shame Jason Day did not win as he was standing on the 16th tee with a 2 shot lead. His time will come.

A wise man said "you learn more from your mistakes than your wins". Was rapt listening to ABC Radio in the car on the way to work yesterday, interrupting normal programming to update the scores. Loved watching the replay of the last 6 holes + 2 playoff ones last night. Jason has matured a lot and yes, his time will come for a Major win. At last the monkey is off Adam's back.

Hope Serfty enjoyed watching it last night

Certainly did - with the DVR 'twas a simple matter to use the 30 second skip to avoid those annoying ads (and the Wentworth Golf club after the first few cutovers) as well as those long periods between strokes when there's only a few players still on the course.

Started watching the six hours (4am-10am) of recording at 7:40 - finished watching 11:40... fours hours later.

(I was quite enthusiastic after scoring 38 stableford points on Sunday, first time I have broken 30 in 18 months )

Ah, I think you have meshed two things together and gone off on a tangent. The weight and BP were in relation to JohnK saying he had put on more weight than was possible to gain in a couple of days, and which I suggested was due to flying and fluid retention. And suggested he check his BP. The golf and shopping were other discussion topics. You gotta watch the flow and keep up! :)

JohnK - gastro is the best solution! I lost 3 - 4 kgs a couple of weeks ago with a short gastro bug. Some adverse side effects. Since going onto thyroid replacement meds (large tumour removed from thyroid along with a good chunk of thyroid) any time I have lost weight I have been able to keep it off without much diet change - 92KG to 87KG to 85KG and now down to 81KG - might have to consider cutting back on booze, chips and consider doing some exercise to get to the target weight of around 72KG - 75KG.

What a shocking few weeks of highs and lows. Son sick then me sick then dog dies then son sick again with another chest infection, followed by ear infection followed another infection (that I wont share the details of here) and wife now sick. I am thinking of painting a bloody cross on the front door so the plague body collectors will know where to stop...

Things happen like that in cycles. Hope it's all better soon. Just, um, stay away from us! :) I am on thyroid meds too, I have absolutely no thyroid function. They can't even feel my thyroid but I guess it's there. Hashimotos - auto immune disease. They run in my family. My niece has the worst - Lupus. A nasty one.

Just woke up and heard news on the TV about a bombing at the Boston Marathon. WTF?

I am thinking "local" terrorists. Otherwise would have been on a much larger scale.

Yeah - I have been fairly lucky in reality. It was a shock the first time the doc identified something and said "Well I am fairly sure it isn't cancer" - my response "Well that's good - I thought we thought it was pneumonia..."

Bizarrely my wife is on the same meds as me - for different reasons.

You must have the same Doctor as me. (well, not really, different body parts :)) I rang to get test results from a polyp, and I was blithely ringing from work in a room full of people. His first comment was "well, I am pleased it wasn't cancer" What! I never thought it could have been but he said it was very possible. You'd think he might have just given me a little hint, which, it may have scared me, but if it had turned out to be so, then I would have been a little more careful of when I'd called for results.

I had another specialist who said I had one condition, even after she'd looked at the "removed" item, and maintained her pre surgical diagnosis. Even took a photo as you do these days, a wonder it hasn't appeared on instagram!. Later test results - pre malignant tumour. Oh really?
