Struggling to use your Frequent Flyer Points?

Frequent Flyer Concierge takes the hard work out of finding award availability and redeeming your frequent flyer or credit card points for flights.

Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, the Frequent Flyer Concierge team at Frequent Flyer Concierge will help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

After browsing the forum and reading the loons on the QF FB page I have the sudden urge for a holiday. :-|

My ex got married yesterday, and I wasn't invited to either the engagement party or the wedding... It is a very strange feeling for me, and it hasn't quite set in yet. Definitely one of those life moments you won't forget.

As it turned out I had another wedding to go to, which was fun, although I was a bit distracted.

There are plenty of reasons why an ex may not be invited. Don't worry about it. What is in the past is in the past, concentrate on the future!

I had to move between one of my father's ex-wives (not my mother) and his current wife at his future daughter-in-law's bridal shower today ...

Now that's asking my brain hurt Katie...

I did my usual intro to my assorted family positions (only child, eldest of x, etc, etc) to someone originally from the Czech Republic over drinks in Singapore last week. He asked for a diagram. ;)

Oh dear. Even I recall most of those places, and I started clubbing quite a few years later. Court jester was probably gone by the time I started clubbing. (Was that on Margaret St?) But I have interesting memories from the rest.

My first west coast experience was at a party when I was 17. Interesting night. Fun memories.

IIRC and thats a big call:!: Court Jester was on Adelaide Street....never really saw it during day light hours ;)

According to some web references, it was on Adelaide St... then turned into alices (I went there a lot), then turned into ceasers (hated the place). From memory, its now vacant. (George st end, basically next to criterion hotel aka the cri. )

Ad an alaskan air F ticket doesn't guarantee a lounge pass if there isn't a dedicated lounge!
AT least i'm spending the last of my canadian dollars in the bar!

and when you check in bags in VAncouver the gate agent lifts it up , says , not too heavy and then you have to take it to the baggage belt yourself!
No weighing anywhere!

Truly first world problems

and while im tired and on a roll

People!
when you are dragging the worlds largest roll on bags, TRY and walk in a straight line!!!
And at a consistent speed!
And when you're squeezing between chairs in the bar know how big your bag bloody well is!!!!

And why cant i find a replacement av cord for my NC headphones seeing as i left the current one on a malaysian flight!
Unless i want to buy another pair!
Will try LAX!

and has anyone else tried to solve their SO's issue with technology by text at 230 am??
WHy doesn't the ipad connect to the internet ?

when i pointed out it was 230 am where i was the text came back
"dont worry then"

Which other married guy recognises THAT red flag!!!

Ive suggested she take it to a man in melbourne to sort it out!

I always have new found respect for computer help guys after every IT request from Mrs C!

I am recording the golf this morning and have no interest coming across any information regarding any related event to it until tomorrow ... :p

i.e. I am trying to do a personal results blackout ...

I too am doing a personal results blackout. Not because I am recording it, but because I don't like golf.

What is it with Australia Post?

I went in to get my signature witnessed 'anyone over the age of 18' on the lease documents for my new car and was told they don't do that. If I want an official Australia Post employee signature they can stamp it for $3.95 each. I want 8 signatures so that would have been $31.60.

That's bull$hit

I went to the newsagent and two minutes later was done. I then spent $20 with them on magazines. Much better value.

Funny I was talking about something similar with my neighbour who's renewing a passport at the local PO. We have 3 small PO branches close-ish to us. All 3 of the people running them are grumpy, rude and generally not terribly helpful. Does the particular business attract a particular type? If they don't like dealing with the public or helping out folks with dopey queries, here's a hot flash - find something else! Why are they generally unhelpful? Just cos they can be!
