theres some irony in it as i used to work in IT at macquarie. not this business unit though.
You'd know how disjointed their IT is then, each BU running their own IT and noone talks between units!
 
Does anybody know how long it takes to transfer points to qff account? got first statement today, logged online but for some reason can not see how many points were earn in the last cycle...

Have you checked your QFF account?

Mine showed a deposit from Macquarie at the end of the cycle.
 
Those of you who have got a new MAC code...how on earth did you achieve this? The wife tried calling...its the first they hear of any kind problem like this and will call her back which they never do. She has spoken to a manager etc and they just follow a script. Sorely tempted to just cancel the card. It is just impossible to get hold of someone to take responsibility for this issue and get it resolved.

I honestly have to say that I have never had an issue with their CS department, there was confusion at first and i had to follow up to get the code but each time I ring they sort stuff out and always call me back, maybe I have been lucky

Maybe free but I have paid $200 for my time in following up.
No compensation for stuff up.
 
I applied on Wednesday. Was hoping I might get the card prior to my holiday on 16th March, but by the looks of things people are only finding out if they are approved by a card in the mail 3-4 weeks later.

I applied for one a while ago, and it took a lot longer than their quoted 10 business days:
1) Business day 0 I applied online
2) Business day 10: they called me saying the needed payslips to confirm my salary, which I emailed less than 30 minutes later
3) Business day 19: I received my online password in the mail
4) Business day 25: I received my card in the mail,with a latter dated Day 20
5) Business day 29 (yesterday): I receive my PIN.

I'm still waiting for my MAC so I can go online, the supplementary card for mrs doctau, and probably something else I've forgotten.


On the other hand it's not all bad, mentioning it got my annual fee on my current HSBC card waived without losing the annual two free QP passes for the year.

From my experience if they have acknowledged the problem, they will fix it, but it takes some time.
 
First paper statement received and I'm short 230 points, another phone call coming up. No online access still, no reconciliation of points on the statement, no pin change. This one is going to be so easy to flick once I've got the bonus 25,000 points.
 
It's coming on a month since I applied and no contact. I think I should probably contact them. I don't think I have a ref # though :/
 
I applied last Monday I think and had contact on Friday to provide payslip. Having a month go by without anything I would be contacting them.
 
Did anyone else receive their qf lounge passes or can someone check the details. Just checked in at the qf business lounge passes in hand to be told they are domestic lounge passes luckily they have honoured them but I am sure that on the t & c's of Macquarie card they were supposed to e international. My mistake for not checking when received left that to MR. B

~ Invitations are valid for Qantas Club and Qantas operated international Business Lounges only. Not valid in International First Class Lounges, Chairman's Lounge, Qantas Domestic Business, Qantas oneworld® alliance airline, partner airline or associated lounges. Each invitation is valid for a single visit before the date specified on the invitation, when travelling with Qantas or Jetstar with a QF or JQ flight number. Qantas Club rules apply which are available at qantas.com/qantasclub. Subject to Qantas Club Invitation Conditions available at macquarie.com.au. To be eligible for the two Qantas Club lounge passes you must be approved by 28 February 2013, opt into Qantas Frequent Flyer Rewards. The two Qantas Club lounge passes will be sent to your Card account mailing address within 60 days of your first eligible purchase, provided that you are not in breach of the Conditions of Use and your Account remains open. The two Qantas Club lounge passes expire on 31 December 2013.
 
Looks like the Qantas CU platinum offer with 30000 bonus points was not extended past 31/12/12 unless anyone has seen anything different.
