Don't you think they'll be pleased that they've sold about 20 return flights that people were not otherwise going to take?
 
I have voted both east/west in the shintaro10x poll.

I am waiting to hear back from QAN re attending the festivities. I will give them a nudge when I get back to the mainland!

Thanks straitman for keeping post 1 up to date.

20 members/friends attending (so far) is pretty special. Thank you to everyone for supporting this crazy idea.

Thanks for including yourself in the vote Jessica.

Can we all please remember to vote by "liking" either post #261 or #262 so that we ALL have an input to the dinner location, if anybody has a better idea how to capture this information then please speak up. If you don't vote then it will be assumed you are happy with either :D

Again, if we want the private room then better to book earlier than later to avoid disappointment, I suggest we close / tally up the poll on 2nd March, this is 6 weeks prior to the event, also gives people plenty of time to decide...

My wife and I are booked on QF81 seats 30 A&B. We are arriving SYD from OOL at 0830. We would be grateful if someone could look after us in the Flounge. We are staying at the Hilton and would love to join you all for dinner on Sat night.

Sorry, I've been crazily busy at work for the past few days (just got home at 9:25pm).

Maybe we should ring the lounge manager and get the far end roped off for us - whats the count at the Hilton, there's 5 of us in our group
 
Ok, QF81 booked. Now for the minor details of how to get to Sydney, and then how to get back to Melbourne!

One can do MEL-xSYD-ADL:


  • on a Economy classic for 12K + $66.
  • on a Business classic for 24K + $66.
  • on Economy Revenue $255
  • on Business Revenue $1200
  • on YASA for 5K + $225 (or 33K)
  • on JASA for 16K + $355 (or 61K)

No E class $129 sale fares left.

Need to be back Saturday as Sunday 14th Booked.
