Just wonder what people thought about the closing of Diamond Club for non-UK members? I managed to redeem most of my Diamond Club miles when the writing was on the wall but I have several thousand left over.
The notice to AU / NZ members is:
Is this really just saying they don't know what they are going to do and we are likely to lose any remaining balance when they complete that review (like non-SWP members)? Or, they might be hoping to strike a deal with another OneWorld Frequent Flyer program that does operate in the South West Pacific and transfer miles to that (ok, that is wishful thinking)
So, do you think there is any chance of an upside to leaving miles in a Diamond Club account past the 27th October freeze or should I try and get an BA Executive Club membership and transfer them in to Avios before it's too late?
The notice to AU / NZ members is:
"We are currently reviewing options for our customers who live in the South West Pacific. We will freeze your Diamond Club account and destinations miles balance until further notice but assure our members in the South West Pacific that your loyalty is important to us and we will do everything we can to complete this review quickly."
