Hi all,
I have a flight booked on QF11, but I have to book a separate domestic connecting flight from PER - what are my options?
The best for me would be to take QF574 to SYD, arriving at 11:50 - would this be too tight to connect to QF11 at 13:05? If the flights are on different PNRs, will the bags be checked through or would I have to collect at SYD Dom, then check in separately? Would they give me both BPs in PER?
Another option is to take QF568 to SYD the previous night, arriving in SYD at 06:00. Again, if the flights are on different PNRs, would I be able to get the bags checked through?
The third option I was thinking is to take a DJ domestic flight to SYD - do they interline the baggage through to QF?
Another question I had was about baggage allowance - if all goes to plan, I will be SG for this trip, does my travel partner also receive additional baggage allowance (ie 2 pieces on domestic flight)? They do not currently have any status.
It seems like the baggage rules have changed somewhat since I last travelled to the US a few years back
