Having never flown Virgin Internationally before, I am booked on VA BNE-LAX-MEL in Premium Economy in a couple of weeks time time, with connections from CBR on VA/DJ (On VA flight numbers) - on the way up to Brisbane i'm booked in "Economy" (which I'm presuming is base level, no bells and/or whistles, no food economy?), but from MEL-CBR i am booked in "Premium Economy".

I understand that Virgin do not sell Premium Y Domestically anymore, just wondering what I should expect. I am actually looking forward to this trip - mostly because it is full of firsts, not only am I giving Virgin a go over the Pacific, but also using Delta in the states for the first time. Up until this point I have been entirely committed to QF/AA - so I'm kind of looking forward to something new.

I booked out of BNE to avoid feeling like I missed out on the F lounge in SYD or MEL lol

Any wisdom much appreciated!

Matt

This is the policy for Domestic to International Connections (and vv.) from the DJ website so I guess you would probably be classed as a 'Saver' guest on the domestic sectors

Premium Economy international long haul guests that connect to or from another service with Virgin Australia, or one of our airline partners, will travel in the following cabin class, depending on the type of service:
Connecting service (to or from)Class of travel for that service
Virgin Australia domestic serviceEconomy
Virgin Australia international short haul servicePremium Economy (where available)
Service operated by a Virgin Australia airline partnerEconomy

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Thanks jdevereux3 - That's what I suspected prior to making the booking, however the phone agent was very insistent that I was booked in "Premium Economy" between MEL and CBR, and then the confirmation came as follows:
