Just looking at my points for the last months, seems some shenanigans going on with Amex. Some of my transactions have 1 point per dollar, others have the normal 1 point + 0.5 point platinum bonus. Seems to have started around the time they applied a $100 credit to the account (and took out points, put them back in, did some credit and debit adjustments).

Strange.

This has been noted before with credits - there's another threasd somewhere here on it.

Iit generally all works out in the long run.

But there was no actual credit (aside from a amex generated promotion credit, and them sorting their own cough out)

Since then each second transaction has come through with 0 bonus points. There is nothing to actually correct.

Give them a call or secure mail.

When I've had a credit put back on my card they take back the bonus points over the next few transactions.

I've sent them a secure mail. The only credits on the account relate to a promotion, which I wouldn't have thought would cause points to be removed from the account.

Looking at the breakdown you've had 100 base MR points deducted on 23/12, and whilst they have put back 100 base MR points on 30/12 the system deducted 50 bonus points - what it assumes would have been credited on the original $100 spend.

23/12 - 17 points
06/01 - 5 points
08/01 - 8 points
08/01 - 20 points
Total - 50 points

Should be an easy fix.
