Have your say with the QFF CEO over lunch at Rockpool Bar and Grill...

Seeing as my day-job attire is Jeans and polo shirt, I shall have to dress up for the event. Would appear as though dress code is 'Smart' so perhaps I better suit up, or at very least, tie-up (no pun intended).

On this basis I expect the standard of attire to be better than the QP by all reports ;)

I'm really happy to see the cross section of members, status level and ports - which shows that anybody can ask good questions and win the prize.

From my trawling of the posts, it would seem that the list include:

simongr (SYD)
drewbles (MEL)
awilcockson (BNE)
trippin_the_rift (BNE)
thewinchester (PER)
Febs (SYD)
melbourne rebel (MEL)
bugayev (???)

Not sure if dfcatch (CNS) was a winner, still at least one more to go if that's the case.

Yes, it'll be fun ex-PER. I'll have to fly either the night before thanks to DST meaning first flights of the day won't arrive in time, or do the red eye via MEL to freshen up in the lounge (thank heavens for a few spare lounge passes from PS qualification and unemployment meaning I can't renew my QP membership at the moment).

I've done the red-eye via MEL to ADL. don't do it is my advice - unless you're in J.....but then you would have lounge entry.

That's a yep :)

And that's another MEL for me :)

simongr, a great idea for the separate thread and I can see you have run with it.

So who is the 10th (and who's to say that there aren't more ;)) - Red Roo was open to the idea in their former posts:

Hi guys,

Your questions were all pretty good so we had a hard time choosing and are looking at inviting a minimum of 10 with possibly a few extras. :)
I'll send private messages out to everyone selected some time today. Will be later rather than earlier but definitely today.

Thanks for your patience. Steph and Simon are really looking forward to meeting some of you next week.

Cheers,
Red Roo

Hi All

I have sent PM's to those invited to attend the lunch.

A huge thank you to all who entered! Great to see you all so interested in talking to Simon and Steph - unless it was just the chance to have lunch at Rockpool ;)

Sorry we could not have you all attend. We are looking at ways to have Simon and/or Steph address all your questions in some way and post on AFF (Just have to consolidate them a bit as quite a lot of people entered).

Thanks again.

Cheers,
Red Roo

Hi Lindsay

I received an invite (via PM) last night from Red Roo so I guess I am lucky number 10? I'm really looking forward to this.

Congratulations Scrimo.

So the list looks like this now:

simongr (SYD)
drewbles (MEL)
awilcockson (BNE)
trippin_the_rift (BNE)
thewinchester (PER)
Febs (SYD)
melbourne rebel (MEL)
bugayev (MEL)
dfcatch (CNS)
Scrimo (MEL)

simongr, you might want to update the list in your thread;)

nlagalle and munitalP, oh no, maybe it wasn't either of you - only Red Roo can confirm to whom they were sent

Should we all turn up in our finest trailer park apparel? That could make for an interesting photo shoot. Try and get 'highly valued frequent flyers' or 'some of our most frequent flyers' in the caption of that photo and have people not question it's legitimacy ;)

Could always dine in Rockpool while wearing F PJ's ;)

(listens for the sound of that idea going down like a lead balloon)

I've done more transcon red-eye flights than I care to recall. I actually love them as it usually makes for restful travel, and the odd sleeping pill normally helps deal with the occasional restless toddler.

I'm sure it was me, but i reckon my PM's aren't working so i haven't received it yet! :(
Unless someone invents a star trek like transportation device, I have no idea how you plan to be in both SYD and LHR around the same time, let alone ICN... or you could always pioneer cloning technology or become a replicant *shudders*

No need to, I am in London the following week! :p My only adventure next week is Phillip Island for the Moto GP

well there you go. I don't believe in drugs and if I did it wouldn't be the toddlers that worry me. More likely the large, stinking, drunk miner who has just come off shift sitting next to me in stubbies and thongs. Enjoy your red eye.
